The Rulebook
The game is easy to learn and simple to teach friends. Great for a group but the solo version is also fun! The attention to detail is unreal. You feel immersed in the club and the twists and turns in the game are fun and unexpected. Visually pleasing, perfect for a small-larger group. I love that you can either play as friends in the club, helping each other out, or as enemies. My friends and I play as friends normally. This game is also addicting, you have a lot of control in your gameplay but there is also plenty of luck involved that makes it interesting. I tend to want to play again immediately after the game has finished. Also love a game that has a compartment for every piece. Absolutely recommend.
A few suggestions for the developers:
- I wish there was more luck to the amount of energy you get every turn, maybe an additional dice that can give you -1 or +1 energy each turn
- I wish there was a dedicated spot on the board for discarded customers and the moon card(s), there is enough open space on the board for it. I also wish the Private Room was set so the private room cards could be placed on the board as well. not sure how that would work but just a suggestion. There is empty space on the board so it should be possible.
- Amethysts special ability is not as rewarding as the other dancers and she's often the last dancer to be selected when playing
- i wish they included a 'Diamond' card so we could at least see what she looks like lol

Magnificent. 👏👏👏
I’ve been dancing for 9 years, so I figured I’d catch a lot of the references in Night Shift. What I wasn’t expecting was for it to become my favorite board game I’ve ever played.
Seriously.
The customer cards had all of us dying because they’re so painfully accurate. Every few minutes someone would read a card and I’d be like, “Yep… I’ve met that guy…or girl.” It’s one of those games where if you’ve ever worked in a club, you’ll feel personally attacked in the funniest way possible.
The biggest surprise was my family. None of them are dancers, and they were just as into it as I was. My husband had an absolute blast. After our other two players left, he looked at me and said we should keep playing and even do the long version with just the two of us another night. That alone tells you how fun this game is. It doesn’t rely on you being a stripper to enjoy it! It just happens to absolutely nail the industry for those of us who are.
And omfg the ARTWORK! I found myself stopping to look at all the little details because there’s so much personality packed into every card and every piece of the game. It’s obvious that so much love went into creating it. I’ve followed the artist for years, so finally getting to support her by buying something she’s poured so much of herself into feels really special.
Honestly, this game feels like it was made by someone who actually gets it. The humor, the interactions, the weird situations, the customers… it’s all so spot on that I kept wondering how many real life experiences made it into these cards.
I can’t recommend this game enough. Whether you’ve been in the industry for years like I have or you’ve never stepped foot in a club, it’s ridiculously fun. It had all four of us laughing the entire time.
Hands down, without question, this is my favorite board game I’ve ever played, and I already can’t wait to pull it out again.
Looks so beautiful i wanna cry
Genuinely a good time and gets the best jokes out of people
I play this with my husband a lot, it's a blast! It's extremely well thought out and really does take strategy on the players part. I've always had the fantasy of being an exotic dancer. Now I can live vicariously through the game instead of actually doing it. xD
I picked up Nightshift out of curiosity, expecting a light strategy game built around an unusual theme. What I found was a well-designed game with more depth than I had anticipated.
The Private Room mechanic is a particular highlight. It introduces an interesting risk-versus-reward element, and successfully completing the minigame gives you the opportunity to turn customers into loyal subscribers, making it an important strategic consideration rather than a simple bonus.
What stands out most is how well the mechanics support the theme. Rather than feeling gimmicky, the setting ties into the gameplay in a way that makes the overall experience feel cohesive.
The production quality is also very solid. The artwork and components are well done, and the game embraces its theme with confidence.
If the adult setting doesn't put you off, Nightshift is well worth a look. It's an engaging strategy game with meaningful decisions, good replayability, and considerably more substance than its theme might initially suggest.
Had my first game night and it was the last game. Easy steps. Even with slightly drunken minds this was a hit! The art is horror goofy and we loved it. Wish it was a 6 player game cause one of our friends had to sit out. But i'm glad it was drawn by a woman, had POC representation, funny interesting card descriptions and a big engaging board. 9.2/10!
Nightshift Board Game
Great detail and quality on the game pieces and board, shipping packaging could have been a bit better, not enough bubble wrap so the box was a bit damaged
